Stanley Park Family Portraits || Vancouver, BC

This family is awesome and showed up all in plaid! They love spending time together, and it's evident that Brother and Sister are the ultimate dynamic duo. I've been their photographer since big brother was just a few months old.
This Fall, we met at Stanley Park for another family portrait session, and have the kids grown!
It was all giggles and goofiness capturing those real family moments. Brother and Sister are actually Besties, but it was fun getting them to wrestle it out a bit for some cute sibling rivalry portraits.
Their sessions are always so enjoyable, full of cute kid moments and the kind of family love that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

East Vancouver Family Portraits | Trout Lake Park

This has become a cherished tradition the past four years. Every fall around the same time, we meet at Trout Lake Park to create a new birthday portrait for the wall in their home.
You can see their relationship deepen and the happiness radiating from these moments is heartwarming to capture. The sessions are filled with laughter and sweet moments, turning their walls into a gallery of beautiful memories.

Jericho Beach | Vancouver Family Portraits

It feels like just yesterday that we gathered at Jericho Beach Park to capture the beautiful anticipation of a growing family during their maternity session.
Now, as spring arrives, we find ourselves returning to Jericho Beach. This time, it's for a "Welcome to the Family" portrait session, celebrating the arrival of their newest family member. What truly warms my heart is the lasting connections I've forged with this wonderful family, as we continue to create memories together year after year, marking their families milestones.

What to wear for your Family Session

Here are some of my beautiful families to offer visual tips for choosing the perfect outfits for your family session.

Choose a base colour

Decide on a base colour and have everyone wearing different shades and tones of it.
This will add dimension to your portraits and express everyone’s personality.
Avoid wearing to many patterns as this will make your portrait busy. Have everyone in mostly neutral and solid colours.
Avoid green if your session is in nature. Avoid everyone wearing all white as our eyes are attracted to the highest contrast in an image and the focus will be off your wonderful faces.

Have fun with the footwear

You can coordinate everyone wearing sandals or Van’s in the summer and gumboots in the Fall. Shoes should be as clean as possible.

Don’t put Baby in the corner

Dress your children in a lighter or darker tone than you so they stand out against the clothing you’re wearing.

It’s all about the Fun!

Remember, it’s all about having fun with your family and enjoying your session.
Wear clothing you feel comfortable in and focus on enjoying the playful moments with your family.

Welcome to our Family | Burnaby Lake Family Portraits

I've captured countless family moments over the past 10+ years, but this one holds a special place in my heart.
It was a beautiful combination: a new baby, a large and loving family, and the picturesque backdrop of Burnaby Lake Park.
This family decided to make this moment truly special by investing in a large wall print of their family portrait, that will truly be cherished for years to come.

North Vancouver Family Portraits | Inter River Park

Love makes a Family they say. I have to agree.
This family recently moved into a new home and their Realtor gifted them with a session with me.
They took me to their favourite park in North Vancouver and we romped around in the lush forest creating these portraits they printed for the walls in their new home.
