Rascal's Family || Vancouver Family Photographer

These two have been together for 16 years and this is their fur baby Rascal.
Rascal didn’t live up to his name. He was the perfect gentleman, posing politely in his stylish Fall sweater.
We had originally planned on meeting at a park in Vancouver’s West End. The courtyard at their apartment building was lovely and had a beautiful pond so we decided to stay close to home.
Rascal’s family chose a Storbybook album and we went with the natural linen cover to match their sweaters.
It’s a sweet keepsake album and I enjoyed creating it for them.

East Vancouver Family Portraits | Charles Park

Papa sewed his favorite heavy metal band patches on the vest East Van style vest and he wanted a portrait of her wearing it. I saw the bench at the end of the session and thought it would be a hilarious location. It has become my favorite portrait of 2019. East Van Kids Rule!
This sweet family chose wall art for their home and a Heirloom album with 20 portraits.
They loved the bench portrait so much we are printing it big on metal for Papa’s den.

West End Vancouver Family Portraits

I’ve been photographing this sweet West End family since their eldest was a wee baby.
We recently spent a lovely afternoon together creating portraits for their 1 year-old daughter.
Dads wanted portraits in the neighbourhood so we went on a walk together and enjoyed a lovely warm September day.

Watch me Grow || Vancouver Family Photographer

This sweet family is creating a special memory of their little one’s first year with my ‘Watch me Grow’ package.
We’ve completed a newborn session, this adorable 6 month session and will finish with his 1 year session this winter.
l will be designing a hand-bound 10x10” heirloom album with their favorite portraits from all the sessions.
What a wonderful legacy they are leaving their child.

Raise your hand if you’re a second or third child and have less photos of your childhood than your siblings.
What I love about this family is that they are doing family portraits of their daughter at the same age that they had their son’s session. So she will have memories of her childhood too.
We met for their session at Jericho Beach Park and they were late due to an unexpected need for an outfit change.
These things happen. :)

Welcome to the Family || Vancouver Family Photographer

When I arrived his parents were behind schedule and still getting ready. I usually do newborn sessions in my clients home for this reason. New parents are tired and have more important things to focus on in the first few weeks.
I had the job of holding him while they were getting ready and I was completely overjoyed.
It was hard to put him down to be honest.
The way they looked at him during their session melted my heart.
I asked if they spend hours just staring at him and they both agreed it was their new favorite past-time.

3 Generations || Vancouver Family Photographer

A regular headshot client of mine (pictured far right) contacted me to do a special family portrait with his aunt.
Helen is 91-years-young and she is pictured here with her nieces and nephew, great nieces and nephews and her great-great nephew. As you can imagine, this studio session was ridiculously fun.
The reveal appointment with them was also hilarious! The whole family came to see the slideshow I had prepared from their session.
They all chose to have a print made of this portrait. I’m sure they will enjoy this wonderful portrait for many years.
What a wonderful gift to give your family.

Caroline contacted me because she wanted Christmas portraits of her children and grandchildren.
My assistant and I brought a portable studio to the families home and we photographed 6 adults and 5 children. As you can imagine pandemonium and hilarity ensued.
Here are a few of my favorite moments from my time with this lovely family.

Caroline chose to display her session portraits in the heirloom Memory Box.
The Memory Box is a unique way to display her portraits, and she can rotate them each day on the sweet easel that is included.
