Watch Me Grow || Vancouver Family Photographer

A child’s first year is filled with wonderful milestones like their first sweet smile, sitting up by themselves and their first joyful steps.
I offer my clients the opportunity to treasure those moments forever with my ‘Watch Me Grow’ sessions.
Parents can choose up to 3 sessions in their child’s first year and I design a beautiful hand-bound 10x10” portrait album to celebrate the year.
This couple wanted to include a maternity session with an urban feel, so we chose the rustic location of Granville Island. They showed up wearing matching leather jackets and I knew then we had to finish the year at the same location with the family wearing matching leather jackets. Happily, they agreed!

East Vancouver Family Portraits | Charles Park

Papa sewed his favorite heavy metal band patches on the vest East Van style vest and he wanted a portrait of her wearing it. I saw the bench at the end of the session and thought it would be a hilarious location. It has become my favorite portrait of 2019. East Van Kids Rule!
This sweet family chose wall art for their home and a Heirloom album with 20 portraits.
They loved the bench portrait so much we are printing it big on metal for Papa’s den.

West End Vancouver Family Portraits

I’ve been photographing this sweet West End family since their eldest was a wee baby.
We recently spent a lovely afternoon together creating portraits for their 1 year-old daughter.
Dads wanted portraits in the neighbourhood so we went on a walk together and enjoyed a lovely warm September day.

Welcome to the Family || Vancouver Family Photographer

When I arrived his parents were behind schedule and still getting ready. I usually do newborn sessions in my clients home for this reason. New parents are tired and have more important things to focus on in the first few weeks.
I had the job of holding him while they were getting ready and I was completely overjoyed.
It was hard to put him down to be honest.
The way they looked at him during their session melted my heart.
I asked if they spend hours just staring at him and they both agreed it was their new favorite past-time.

Granville Island Maternity Session || Vancouver Family Photographer

These two wanted an urban feel to their maternity session. They arrived dressed in black leather jackets and I took them to my favourite places on Granville Island that have a slightly edgier look to them.
Both these two are dog lovers so when a couple walked by with their new puppy I just had to borrow Wallace for a few minutes and we had a puppy love fest.
They are due in Feburary and we are doing ‘Watch Me Grow’ sessions throughout the babies first year, culminating in a beautiful hand-bound heirloom album with their favorites from each session

Our Growing Family || Vancouver Family Photographer

I've been photographing this family since their eldest was 3 months old and her parents wanted similar portraits of their little guy on his 3 month birthday.
Big sister greeted me at the front door with a smile and a warm hug that totally melted my heart.
She has a wicked iTunes dance mix that we listened and danced to while creating these portraits together.
The beautiful soft north facing window light was perfect for these intimate family portraits in my clients new home.
