Emily + Christina | Pemberton, BC Wedding

Emily & Christina contacted me after seeing one of my previous weddings featured on the Bicycle Built for Two website.  They requested that I take equally beautiful images of their wedding.  I was up for the challenge and excited for their day, as it was also my first ‘destination’ wedding at the beautiful Spring Valley Farm in Pemberton, BC.

What struck me most about this couple was their gift for creating family. Their immediate families attended the wedding and also the family they had nurtured with their closest circle of friends. This is a couple that opens their arms wide and we experienced that in profound way when we found that they had set a place for us at their banquet table.
It was an honour to photograph their day and to be included in the celebrations as well.

East Side Pride

I knew it was going to be a joyous and colourful day at Vancouver Pride's East Side Pride event. This was my first time attending the event and I spent most of my time flirting and reuniting with folks I hadn't seen in awhile. Here's a few shots I did get in between the festivities.

Honouring our Elders Tea

I donated my time, energy, love, etc. to photograph this event at the Listel Hotel, and I really want to thank Qmunity for the opportunity to do so. It was lovely. So lovely.

STRUT 4 Hope

"We stand strong together in support of every person’s right to love who we are meant to, be who they want to be without fear of prejudice. Join us and walk a mile in high-heels to fight for LGBTQ+ people around the world."
~ Foundation of Hope.
100's of folks strutted their stuff at Sunset Beach June 6th to raise funds and awareness for LGBTQ refugees. The newly founded Foundation of Hope’s first fundraiser was a walkathon with participants walking a mile in high heels! An amazing $45,000+ was raised at the fabulously successful event.
Every day I wake up grateful for the privilege to be my authentic self in this beautiful city and country. It was wonderful to be a part of raising funds and awareness for folks who do not live with those same privileges.
Thank you to the Foundation of Hope for existing and assisting LGBTQ refugees, asylum seekers and newcomers.

"Don't worry", I told him. "I have liability insurance."
A recent sunset session with Realtor and fellow LOUD Business member Erik Carlson creating his 2015 business portrait.
I couldn't resist taking a fun shot of him too showcasing his fabulous socks.
